TIMES (OF LONDON)The thrill of the falls: Niagara by zip wire

A 40mph zip wire is the latest way to see the famous falls on the border of America and Canada.
There’s something glorious about hurtling towards the thundering waters of Niagara Falls at 40mph knowing that you can’t stop. However, unlike dozens of eccentrics who have shot over the falls in barrels, kayaks or, in one case, a giant rubber ball — with varying degrees of success — I was safe. And dry.
I wasn’t in the river. Instead I was suspended 60m in the air zooming towards the foaming face of Niagara’s famous Horseshoe Falls in Canada on a new zip-line ride.
